FAQ - Frequently asked questions
1. Are RSI c6 parts made of real carbon fiber?
Yes — every RSI c6 part is 100% real prepreg carbon fiber or forged carbon, hand-laminated and autoclave-cured (120–180 °C, 6–8 bar) in our atelier in Scorzè, Venice, Italy. We never use fiberglass bases, overlays or "carbon look" stickers. Each part ships with a material certificate confirming genuine carbon fiber construction.
2. What is the difference between Carbon Fiber, Forged Carbon and Unpaint Carbon?
Carbon Fiber shows the classic 2x2 twill weave, in gloss or matt finish. Forged Carbon is made from compressed chopped fibers, giving a unique marble-like pattern with equal strength in every direction. Unpaint Carbon is the raw autoclave-cured surface, ready to be painted in your car's color. All three are cured in autoclave for maximum strength at minimum weight.
3. Will this part fit my car without modifications?
Most RSI c6 parts are engineered on OEM data and install on the original mounting points. Some products are covers that fit over the factory part; a few handcrafted components may need minor adjustment, which is normal for real carbon fiber. The exact fitment type is always stated in the "Fitting Information" section of each product page. Professional installation is recommended for exterior and aero parts.
4. How long does production take?
Each part is handcrafted to order in Italy: average production time is 30–35 working days (about 45–50 calendar days), plus shipping. Forged Carbon and custom finishes can take slightly longer. You receive email updates at every production milestone, from lamination to quality check to shipment — you always know where your part is.
5. Do you ship worldwide? Who pays customs duties?
Yes, RSI c6 ships worldwide with insured express couriers (UPS, DHL, FedEx) and full tracking. Within the EU there are no extra charges. Outside the EU, customs duties and import taxes are applied by your country at delivery and are the customer's responsibility. We provide all export documents and customs assistance for every destination.
6. Are these parts street legal? Do they have TÜV approval?
RSI c6 parts are sold for aesthetic and performance enhancement. Every part includes a material certification proving 100% real carbon fiber or forged carbon construction — the document used to request TÜV or local homologation in your country. Requirements vary by region and vehicle, so we do not provide TÜV homologation directly. Cosmetic parts (mirror caps, interior trims) are legal everywhere.
7. How do I take care of carbon fiber parts?
Wash with pH-neutral shampoo and a microfiber cloth, avoid high-pressure washers directly on exposed carbon, and never wash hot carbon with cold water (thermal shock micro-cracks the clear coat). Apply a ceramic coating or UV sealant every 6–12 months: UV is what yellows the clear coat over time, not the carbon itself. With this routine a part stays new-looking for 10+ years.
8. Can I request a custom finish or color?
Yes. RSI c6 offers custom finishes on request: forged carbon with gold, silver or rose-gold leaf, personalized clear coats (gloss, matt, satin) and painted finishes matched to your car's color code. Contact us on WhatsApp (+39 346 6259999) before ordering to discuss your project — we reply within minutes during business hours.
9. Are taxes included in the price?
For EU customers, prices include VAT: what you see is what you pay, plus shipping. For orders outside the EU, VAT is already deducted from the price you see, and import duties and taxes in your country are added upon delivery by the courier. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination and size of the item.
10. Can I pay in installments?
Yes. We accept Klarna for installment payments, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and all major credit cards. For high-value orders such as full body kits, contact us to arrange a deposit-based payment plan.
11. Can I return a part if it doesn't fit or I change my mind?
Standard catalog parts can be returned within 14 days if unused, uninstalled and undamaged. Custom orders — personalized finishes, painted parts or special requests — are made specifically for you and are non-refundable. If a part arrives damaged or with a defect, contact us immediately: every shipment is insured and we resolve it at no cost to you.
12. Why choose RSI c6 over cheaper carbon fiber parts?
Because the difference is in the construction: RSI c6 parts are autoclave-cured prepreg carbon (void content below 1%), not wet lay-up or fiberglass with a carbon skin. Designed, laminated and hand-finished in Italy since 2005, with OEM-based fitment, material certification and a 4.8/5 rating from verified customers. Cheaper parts save money on exactly the things that make carbon worth buying.
