SIDE SKIRTS

in Carbon Fiber

Autoclaved twill and forged carbon. Extensions, blades, and full replacements that seal the floor, drop the silhouette, and connect splitter to diffuser in one uninterrupted line.

THE CASE FOR CARBON · ENGINE BAY

Four reasons

they belong on the sill.

The side of the car is its longest line. Sharpen it once in autoclaved carbon and the silhouette never asks for anything again.

−12%

Skirt the air

A carbon side skirt seals the gap between body and tarmac, redirecting air around the wheel arch rather than under the floor. Less lift, more apex confidence.

−18 mm

Visual lowering

Step-down geometry drops the visual ride height without touching the suspension. The car reads lower, longer, more planted — without losing a millimetre of ground clearance.

Continuous

Side profile

The skirt visually ties the front splitter to the rear diffuser. The eye traces a single uninterrupted line from arch to arch — the discipline behind every GT3 silhouette.

Bolt-on

OEM mount points

Pre-preg layup matches the factory clip line and screw bosses. Direct fit on the original sill — no glue, no cuts, no irreversible work on the chassis.

Side Skirts in Carbon Fiber for BMW M3 G80 G81/M4 G82 G83 by RSI c6

MANIFESTO · WHT THE STILL MATTERS

The OEM sill is a courtesy strip.

Ours is a continuous line.

The factory rocker panel exists to keep gravel off the door. It runs flat from arch to arch and asks no questions of the air. Photographed from the side, it reads as a quiet plastic afterthought between two elaborate bumpers.

A carbon side skirt does what the OEM never bothered to: it seals the underbody floor against side wash, it drops the visual centre of mass by the height of a finger, and it ties the splitter to the diffuser in a single uninterrupted aero line. The car stops looking like three good ideas glued together. It starts looking like one decisive silhouette.

OWNER QUESTIONS

Before you commit.

Extension, blade, or full replacement — what's the difference?

Extensions clip to the lower edge of the OEM sill and add a step downward — the most popular option, fully reversible, OEM-compatible. Blades are slim aero winglets that sit ahead of the rear wheel, borrowing the language of GT3 race cars. Full replacements remove the factory sill entirely and substitute a one-piece carbon sill — the most committed choice, the cleanest silhouette.

Will the skirts scrape on driveways?

Every skirt is designed with the OEM splitter line as the lowest reference point. If your factory splitter clears, the skirts clear. We respect a 2 — 3 mm clearance margin to the bumper edge and recommend a measured approach on aggressive ramps. The autoclaved laminate is structural — a brushed stone won't crack it; an ignored speed bump still will.

Do they need painting?

No. Twill 2x2 and forged carbon are finished with three coats of UV-stable clear and hand polished — the carbon is the finish, not a substrate. Some owners colour-match the upper edge to body paint for a softer silhouette; we can supply unpainted (carbon-wide) or with a hand-painted upper lip on request.

How are they installed?

Extensions bolt to the OEM sill using the screw that you find in the package. A trained installer fits a set in 45 — 60 minutes. Full-replacement skirts require removing the factory sill (clip-and-screw) and seating the carbon piece on the same mount line — a 2 — 3 hour job for an experienced bodyshop.

Twill 2x2 or forged carbon?

Twill 2x2 reads as carbon at every angle — directional, deep, classical. Forged carbon scatters light in a chaotic chip pattern that pairs beautifully with modern G-chassis BMW and 992-generation Porsche. Both use the same pre-preg autoclave layup, the same structural core, the same 5-year UV-clear warranty.
