MAGNETIC PADDLE SHIFTERS

in Carbon Fiber

Neodymium magnets, Hall-effect sensors, pre-preg twill and forged carbon. The same tactile language used in Formula 1 — now bolted to the steering wheel of your daily driver.

THE CASE FOR CARBON · PADDLE

Three reasons

it belongs behind the wheel.

The paddle is the only carbon part you touch on every drive. Make it lighter, make it crisper, make it last longer than the car. The rest is finishing.

0.08 s

Magnetic click

A neodymium magnet replaces the spongy OEM rubber dome. Every shift returns a crisp, mechanical click — the same tactile language race teams have used for two decades.

+32 mm

Extended reach

GT-sized paddles extend the throw so your fingertips reach the shift point without leaving the 9-and-3 grip. Borrowed from motorsport ergonomics.

Plug & play

OEM connectors

Every set ships with the factory wiring loom and connector. Installation reuses the original mount points — a 20-minute job behind the wheel, fully reversible.

MANIFESTO · WHY MAGNETIC BEHIND THE WHEEL

The OEM paddle is a rubber dome.

Ours is a magnet.

Inside every factory paddle there is a silicone bubble and a tired carbon contact. It deforms a little each time the finger pulls. After two seasons the click is gone — replaced by a tired, mushy thud. The car still shifts. The conversation between driver and gearbox quietly disappears.

We replace the dome with a fixed neodymium magnet and a Hall-effect sensor. There is no friction surface, no spring, no deformation: the click that arrives the first morning is the same click that arrives a million shifts later. The paddle outlives the car. The shell that protects it — carbon, autoclaved, finished by hand — outlives most things in the cabin.

OWNER QUESTIONS

Before you commit.

Why magnetic and not mechanical?

A traditional paddle uses a rubber dome or a microswitch with a spring — both deform over time, both feel mushy after 50,000 shifts. A magnetic paddle uses a fixed neodymium magnet and a Hall-effect sensor: no contact wear, identical click on shift one and shift one million. It's the same principle behind keyboards used by competitive esports players, and it's the same principle behind every modern F1 paddle.

GT, Race or Compact — how do I choose?

Functional. Louver geometry is CFD-profiled to extract high-pressure air from the wheel arch — measured −12°C average brake-disc temperature on track and a small but consistent reduction in front-axle lift.

Will the steering wheel still feel original?

Yes — and quieter. Carbon paddles weigh less than the plastic pieces they replace, so the wheel's rotational inertia goes down, not up. Cruise control, horn, airbag and steering buttons are completely untouched. The only thing that changes is the click — and that is the entire point.

Is installation reversible?

Completely. Our paddles reuse the OEM connector and mount on the original screws. The factory paddles unclip in two minutes; ours clip in their place using the supplied stainless hardware. Keep the OEM set in the box — your warranty inspector and your future buyer will both thank you.

Twill 2x2 or forged carbon?

Twill 2x2 is the classic — directional weave, deep gloss, reads as carbon at any angle. Forged carbon scatters light in a chaotic chip pattern that pairs beautifully with modern G-chassis BMW and 992-generation Porsche interiors. Both use the same pre-preg autoclave layup, the same magnetic mechanism, and the same 5-year UV-clear warranty.
